Glucose Sirup
Glucose syrup is a semi-liquid, thick, aqueous carbohydrate solution obtained by hydrolysis of starch. This product is used as a binding and structure-changing agent, as a filler, as a glue, as a fluffing agent and to prolong freshness. In addition, the syrup prevents crystallisation, reduces the growth of ice crystals during freezing, and is a flavour and aroma stabiliser.
It is used in the food industry for a wide range of products such as baked goods, confectionery, jams, jam, dairy products, ice cream, as well as juices or beverages. In addition, it is a versatile spray-drying medium for colours and flavours.
